Archie in the Crosshairs

Archie returning home one evening was just opening the door to the brown house when 2 shots rang out near him. He dropped down and shaken he goes inside. The next Nero receives a phone call stating Archie is being target for death. Nero locks down the brownstone and invites Saul and Fred to dinner. Archie gets a called from Cordelia Hutchinson, a heiress that she being blackmailed and wants Wolf to stopped it. Archie nags Wolf to take the case. A plan is set up with Archie delivering the money. That night the plan goes awry and Archie is shot. Nero needs to bring order out the chaos.

Robert Goldsboro has caught the attributes of Nero, Archie, Cramer and other characters that Rex Stout created that although the story reads slightly different I enjoy them just as much. This one of my favorite series again.
