Corridors of the Night by Anne Perry

Another outstanding mystery from Anne Perry in her latest William Monk book. Hester is working the night shift at Royal Navy Hospital. A child asked for help as her brother is dying. Hester finds a child ward and learns the children are being used as blood doners. Th e Rand brothers, a physician and chemist are working for a cure for replacement of lost of blood. Hester becomes a prisoner both morally and physically of the experiment. The children are used as hostages for her behavior. Monk and friends search for Hester as the time of their safety is running out. This book takes many twisted turns and there are a number of surprises.. I have read ma.y of her books and feel this is one of the best.
