A Scone to Die For (Oxford Tearoom Mysteries, # 1)
This is a fantastic book. It has humor, romance, mystery and a cat. I was laughing or smiling as I read it.The characters are developed and catch your attention at once. I consider them new friends. I was a little disappointed that Muelisa had only a minor part in the book. Her escape scene was delightful. Gemma is giving up her security for her dream. Her Mom is another terrific person. The homicide inspector is unusual and I feel he is a great addition. The 4 Biddies add much humor. The background is set in a small town near Oxford. I appreciated the glossy of British and American terms. I am looking forward to the next book.

Disclosure: I received a free copy from Wisheart Press through Netgalley for an honest review. I would like to thank them for this opportunity to read and review the book. The opinions are my own.
