If we were having coffee/tea, I would tell you come in out of the weather. While we are havi g periods of rain and wind, it nothing to what the Pacific Coast is experiencing this week. It takes about a day for the storm to pass through the area. The weathervis never as bad as it is on the coast. I remembered the Columbus Day storm very well. I find it hard to believe it was fifty years ago. We had one night of freezing weather and now the area trees are changing fast. It is a sea of yellow with patches of orange and red around. It has been awhile since I featured birds. Here are a few of our pictures. I started with pictues of elk taken near Yellowstone Park.

If were having coffee/tea, I would would tell you I got a shock this weel when I went to my favorite new outlet to check on the storms hitting the Pacific coast. I was surprised and still upset to see the latest highlights on the political scene. It brought remembrance for me of all the sexual harassment that I have suffered over all my years and keep quiet as no one wanted to hear or talk a out them. 😫😫😫

Thanks for the photo of the roadrunner, Betty. It was a nice treat to see one as I haven’t since leaving Arizona.

  2. DailyMusings says:

loved seeing those Elk- what magnificent animals. What is that black and white bird with the long tail and feathers on top of his head? Loved all the bird photos of course! Your rainbow and purple flowers made me smile after reading your being reminded of the harassment you suffered over the years

  3. Loved your bird photos and elk, an animal I don’t see in the country here. Hope your weather has improved. I’m sorry you have kept quiet all these years and sad that the American Presidential elections are bringing it to the fore, although that, in the long term, may make sexual harrassment something that men in power don’t do into the future. Love that rainbow.

  4. The rainbow lifted up my spirits as well as those beautiful elks, thank you for sharing. I’m sorry to hear about the nasty political issues and how it has brought back matters for you. You are brave for sharing a part of it here.
    Thanks for tea!

Your shots of the birds are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing them with us.
No one wants to talk about sexual harassment – and the women are made to feel as if it is their fault when it is not. One always wishes that the man gets his comeuppance.

  6. Nice pics. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week! ~Tara

  7. Beautiful photographs. Thank you! And also for your sharing about sexual harassment. It is important to be able to speak out, whether one does choose to do so, or not.

    • There are many way that you,can experience sexual harassment. We all needed to speak about them. I was one of the lucky ones mine only on the edges. It is so hard to determine the truth. I suspect almost every woman and some men have experienced it in their lifetime.

  11. Natalie says:

Absolutely beautiful pictures, thank you for sharing them πŸ™‚

  12. Joanna Lynn says:

Yeah, the whole sexual issue vein excused as locker room talk (which is gross and turns women into objects rather than people) should never be excused. The bad thing is, whichever one wins, there will be a man in the White House with this way of thinking about women. It’s sad.

Your pictures are beautiful. I love all the birds.
