A delightful and funny cozy mystery featuring Daphne Templeton and her two dogs, Artie, a Chihuahua and Socrates, a basset hound. Daphne’s temperament is laid back and is forever getting her trouble. Her sister, Piper’s boyfriend Steve Beamus has been murdered and his chocolate lab, Axis is missing. Daphne decides to look for Axis and this allows her to look into the murder as Piper is the leading suspect. I like the interaction between Daphne and Homicide detective. Jonathan Black. Will Inspector Black arrive in time to save Daphne from certain death? You will enjoy the end. Included are recipes for dog treats. I highly recommend this book. Disclosure: I received a free copy from Kensington Books through NetGalley for an honest review. I would like to thank them for this opportunity to read and review the book.
