This mystery is set mainly in London and Europe and is about art and their forgeries. The descriptions of people and places and art will hold your attention as they put in the scene. Laurel Beachman is employed by a foundation whose mission is to recover stolen art and return it to the rightful owner. First, needs to locate the present location of the art. Next, is have a plan to recover the art.
The tale opens with Laurel and Nick working together to recover a stolen painting. They succeed taking the painting but on the return, things go wrong and Nick disappeared. Laurel finds herself alone in London with no backup. Several attempts are made to kidnap or kill Laurel are made. As the story continues we learn more about Laurel and Jack pasts. Before long Laurel and Jack realize that there are three criminals after the stolen masterpiece and one of them wants to kill Laurel. I highly recommend the book and series.
