COFFEE/TEA SHARE – AUGUST 19, 2017

THINK POSITIVE! HUGS!

If we were having coffee/tea, I would welcome you and let you select what your drink and treat from the selection. Our temperate has dropped in the high 80° Fahrenheit.  This fairly normal for this time of year. Let’s sit out on the patio as we can watch The activity in the parking area.

If we were having coffee/tea, I would tell you that not much happened last week. We went out for breakfast a couple of times. I didn’t get my haircut. Last night a grass fire near the interstate highway burnt a home and almost destroy two others. It is so dry out, it doesn’t take much for fire to start. I have been doing a lot of reading especially when I can’t Sleep at night. This year has gone fast. It is hard to believe August is almost over.

If we were having coffee/tea, I would share with you that Monday is the day of the eclipse. The forecast is for 90°. and clear out. We both have viewing glasses courtesy of our library. There will be a viewing party on the back side of the building where there is a good view of sun. We used to live in Central Oregon and I find it hard to hard to believe the number of people, the media is reporting there this weekend.

BOOKS

Not to many again this week, I  have been reading ARC’s for September. There are a number of books where cats and dogs are feature. All very good so far. I haven’t decided which one I like the best.

such beautiful vistas once again. It is amazing that people have traveled from all over to see the eclipse. I intend to stay indoors, it makes me too nervous!

    • I am lucky as we won’t have to travel. We would see totality here in the Meridian area. I think it will be about 96% if I remember correctly. Idaho state Fair open today and there is a special party at the grounds including a raffle for the to of the Ferris wheel. People are crazy!

You always post the most interesting/beautiful photos! Also, I’m a little jealous that you’ll get to see the eclipse. I’ll be teaching kiddos during the best time to see it in my area. I can’t wait to see the photos you’ll post of that! (I’m assuming you’ll do that…) Thanks for sharing!

    • Not sure about the photos as you need special material to take of the sun. We don’t have that. Thanks for the comment on the photos. I am surprised that your school is not setting up something for the children to see what is happening. I am sure all the news media will over do it as usual.

Your photos are beautiful as always. The part for the eclipse sounds like a good time. You are pretty close to the epicenter of activity, but have your private space right at home…well done, Betty Louise. You rule. Thanks for the coffee.

Beautiful photos! Enjoy the eclipse. I’m excited too. We are direct path here, 100%.

  6. Your photos are lovely, BL! I can’t believe August is on the wane either!
