One of my must read indie authors. I am anxious waiting for latest book to be released July 14. I enjoy joining Hetta and Jan on their adventures. Must not forget PO Thang whose antics brings chuckles to the story.

“Hetta Coffey is a sassy woman with a snazzy yacht and she’s not afraid to use it!

While docked at Marina de la Paz, in Mexico’s hauntingly beautiful Sea of Cortez, Hetta gets a surprise visitor that sets off a chain of events like only Hetta can manage to get herself embroiled in. With her best friend, Jan, and her dog, Po Thang, they are hot on the trail of some dastardly smugglers.”

I have read all of Hetta journeys and enjoy them. Some of my favorites are. There are reviews all the books.

The first of the Hetta Coffey series featuring amusing witty and funny protagonist. Hetta is responsible in her engineering work however her personal life is anything but a mess. Her character is complicated. Jan is an first-class sidekick. After Hetta gets them into trouble Jan is there to help. This book gives the background of the characters and Hetta’s life. I enjoyed it so much I went, reread it and the rest of the series

Hetta and Jinks are cruising the Sea of Cortez when a fishing boat challenges them. Hetta uses a flame thrower to chase the 2 men in the boat away. It seem wise to leave the area and head north. Arriving at Marina San Carlos Jenks returns to Kuwait leaving Hetta alone on the yacht. She receives a surprise gift from her Mother. Her Aunt Lil’s parrot named TROUBLE. This bird is noted for attacking dogs and Mexican men.

Jan joins Hetta and they decided to visit Chino’s Grandmother. They have a time reaching the town where she lives. They learned that the town has been taken over by drug lords. Hetta has again found trouble without trying.
I like the way animals are use to enliven the story in this series. TROUBLE is the main character in the book.

Hetta Coffey and her gang again off on another adventure. The Raymond Johnson is moored at the harbor in Santa Roselia. Hetta has promised Jenks that she would not take the boat until returns. Hetta has accepted a job at mine where higher costs overruns are occurring. The drive to mine on Hell Rise Hill is terrifying that she wants her own car. Santa Roselia is surrounded by volcanoes. Hetta spots a dog on the highway and decides to recuse him. Op Pong enters the story. The twists and turns of the story will keep you laughing.

A exciting and funny mystery. I feel this is one of the best books I have read in awhile. Hetta and Jan are on the Raymond Johnson in the Sea Of Cortez. They are now middle age and feel the need to change their ways. Hetta is still devious person. Someone has hired the yacht for one month and refuses to tell them where he/she plans to go. When he/she arrives they meet an old friend who stills won’t tell them. Hetta and Jan plot to find the answer. Po Thang has a new best friends Pebbles. Their antics added much to the story. I highly recommend this book and series.

I have 1 to 8 on my tablet, but have never gotten to them yet. I really should make time to read some of these series I downloaded awhile ago.
