#MURDER IN MIDTOWN by Liz Freeland

PEACE

This the best book I have read in the last few months. It is the second book in the Louise Faulk historical series and the first time I read this author. I will definitely read her again and will probably read the first book before too long. The writing flows smoothly and the descriptions placed right in New York City in early 1900. The characters are well developed and became friends at once. Louise Faulk has come to New York City after her Aunt asked to leave Altoona. Louise dreams of becoming a member of the New York police department. She took the civil test and passed. I especially like the description of the Louise airplane ride. After taking the test Louise heads for her job only to find the building on fire and she no longer is employed. Did Louise pass the test? Will Louise be hired by the police department? Who started the fire? Who is the charred body in the fire rubbish? I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.

    Interesting plot and good review.

Nice. I don’t usually get approvals from them, much less invitations. With all of your reviews, you must be on their “good” list.

    • I think Berkley has so many A list books they can choose who they want and probably has to do with the number of followers. I have close to_1,000_WordPress follow over 300 Goodreads and 100 on Twitter. I got another auto-approval this morning. April is nearly here and a number of books I want to read will be released this month. I have 3 for April 1 and number April 2. They want reviews and I write one for any book I read.
