THE LAST CAMEL DIED AT NOON By Elizabeth Peters

BE KIND Think Positive!

I consider this author one of the best I have read most of the books several times. Also, those written under the name Barbara Micheal have a paranormal Gothic romance.

The Last Camel Died at Noon (Amelia Peabody, #6)

I have read this book several times and it is always a joy to spend time with Amelia Peabody and her family. This satire at its best. The British have retaken a portion of Sudan that Emerson has wanted to explore for a long time. Amelia plans to leave Ramses in Cairo. Plans go wrong and he is with them on the trip. Before leaving home the Peabody s received a map and requested to find Willy Forth who disappeared in Sudan earlier. Arriving in Sudan they learn the map is correct and Willy Forth sent it. With a few men and ailing camels, the Peabodys go into the desert searching for the lost oasis. What will they find?

Sounds like a fun book! 🙂

    • If you have not read Elizabeth Peters aka Barbara Michaels you have a lot of great reading ahead. The visit to the lost oasis is great and the return visit GUARDIAN OF THE HORIZON

I also love this series! Although my enthusiasm fell off quite a bit when the youngsters grew up and sort of took over for a few books. I still have the last two to read.

  5. Just love about everything she ever wrote! There were a few weird ones as Barbara Michaels, but I liked those too! Her Vicky Bliss series is probably my favorite. Hard to choose!
