A superb paranormal tale that I found difficult to put down. Annabelle Britton arrives in Portsmouth New Hampshire on a visit a close friend. She is very surprised to find that her Grandma grew up and the town, but left when she married. She learns that her Grandma is a witch and there is an active coven in town. She has ‘vibes’ at times but she has no idea how to control. Annabelle meets a mystery cat, Alistairs who can disappear at will. He refuses to accept a home since his former owner died. Alistairs leads Annabelle to a cottage and adopts her. There are enough changes before Annabelle finds the answer to the mystery. The next book is already on my to-read list.
