This book takes us to Metamora county for this amusing cozy mystery. Cameron Cripps-Hayman becomes the foster parent of several unruly dogs of a murder victim. Estranged from her husband, the Metamora police officer, she is stunned to learn that her husband was having an affair with the victim. Cam learns she is considered the killer by most of the folk living in the area. Cam is in charged of a work released program and her group includes a kleptomaniac, the area’s drunk and two high schoolers. In addition, her husband’s daughter is living with her and her MIL delights in causing her various problems. Her sister arrives for a visit to help her. There are numerous funny situations. The group calling themselves Metamora Action Agency sets out to clear Cam’s name. Will they succeed? I am ready to read more about Metamora county. I highly recommend this book.
