In the next book of the story, Richie Amalfi is named one of San Francisco most alluring bachelor in an article was supposed to be a Puff piece that turned into a deadly serious affair. First is a fire that burned the store of one other bachelor, unfortunately, a homeless man was in the basement. Rebecca Mayfield and her partner Sutter are on-call and the case falls to them. Next Richie nightclub is torch but the fire is caught before too much damage is done. Another bachelor’s head is found in a dumpster. The tale will take on a rough and harrowing ride as Rebecca and Richie race to find answers before all the bachelors are no more. I highly recommend this book.

I’ll have to check out this series.

Did you enjoy these through binge reading of the series or were they spaced out over time? The only time I read solely one author was right after I retired (and before I began blogging): I consumed one Agatha Christie mystery after another. It was wonderful.

    • I often binge on an author if I like the story. However, I usually. read only 3 books at a time. I have two of Charlotte Armstrong to read. THE BALLOON MAN is everything I remember and will finish it today. I am thinking of requesting another book as I have most of February read already.

That must make you feel good. Now you get to browse some new choices; that is always fun!

    • Right now I am not sure what I want to read. I want to read an Ellery Queen book but can’t decided which one to buy or if I want to use the lastbof my book money or keep it for something as a backload.
After finishing THE BALLOON MAN I can’t help thinking how different the po!ice reaction to the same situation.
