It we were meeting to share coffee or another drink, I will invite you inside from the cold weather. We will sit where we could see the actvity in the parking lot. Birds are flying searching for food and water. If we are lucky the quail may come to the feeding areas. Actvities of the residents and their visitorsa can be interesting. The picture below are Gambel quail taken in California not the California quil that we see here.

I will tell about the Birthday 🎂 party here yesterday. A friend and follow resident, Bob Leggett turned 100 years old. Think of all the evs he seem. The msyor of Boise give a certficate of making the dY his. We gave him a lot applause.  Tere was a gift basket for cards and a guest book. Ice cream and cake was serve. The turnout was terrific as I think most of residents where there to wish him a Happy ☺birthday 🎂.

I would tell you, that I am upset with this morning, nothing has gone right, everything I tried to do has had trouble. Have you heard of a Vitamin D lamp? A friend tells me when she uses it for a couple of days her depression disappears. I could sure use one right now. Apparently, we will be getting one so I will let you know how it works.

Here we go again, this the fourth time, I have written this paragraph. After spending a lot money (credit card) we didn’t have, our electronic devices still have a lot of problems. This Kindle has problems with following Amazon,  Prime Photos, WordPress, Goodreads, NetGalley, Magic Jigsaw Puzzle and I am not sure all my email is coming through. After buying a group of puzzles, about two weeks later the site was update and wipe them out. It seems you must have a Facebook 1n order for your previous puzzle to forward. I don’t know if my problems are the a virus, software, or my self. It is hard to stay positive when you sprnd several hours on  correcting a problem to be told you need to deregister and reregister or uninstalled and reinstall which is the norman for correcting problems.

Sorry about the technology problems. I have an older Kindle Fire and love it. I just picked up a new one and hate it – they have changed it and it is now just a normal Android tablet that doesn’t allow you to use half of the apps I have on my original! I may get rid of it and give up on Kindle Fire….

    • My old Kindle was about to died. I debated rather to buy a Samsung but decided I would have less problems. I am sorry I brought it. All I can see is we want to sell you something. There is so many apps that I won’t use but they are Amazon and you can’t delete.

I can’t wait to hear about he vitamin D lamp. I hope it helps you. I may have to look into getting one too. I loved the bird photos 🙂

    • It is florescent light. To start you used it for ten minutes, if that is okay than gradually increase the distance and time. Used it regularly every day for an hour. I had to stopped before the first hour was up. Ours cost $80 but there are less expensive models. You can buy on line or at walmart, Fred Meyers, Costco and I am sure other places.

What a wonderful birthday party! I love your blue jays- they are so different from the ones we have here in the east. I do hope you can straighten out the kindle issues!

    • I have never seen the “Eastern” bluejay. I love the Stellar jays and the scrub jay was recently divided into to species or sub species. I don remember is I included the picture of Canada Jay aka camp robber.

I am sorry you are having trouble with your devices again! How frustrating–especially when it is something you use a lot and count on! The bird pictures are great, but I really loved the picture of YOU on the car–priceless!

    • I was probably 6 years and my sister 4 years. The car parked in front our Grandmother ‘s house. My sister and myself were dress in our best clothes as our Grandfather wanted to see his granddaughters. He was in a nursing home. I will never forget that day.

My first thought when I saw the picture was “There’s got to be a story behind that.” Thanks for sharing it!

As much as I love and depend on my electronics, I sometimes hate them. I am sorry you are having all tech problems.

How wonderful that one of your fellow residents has reached 100. What stories he must be able to tell!

  8. Colline says:

A 100 years – that is a lot of living experience. I am sure the party was great.
