This book cover topics that most to not like to think about. Betty Webb has written an excellent story she covers these topics from the victim ‘s standpoint. When Lena Jones was in the foster program she was raped repeatedly by the father. The Mother did nothing about it. The rape came to an end when Lena attempted to kill the rapists. ‘Papa Brain Wycoff’ is being released from prison. Lena is there at the prison when is released. She is determined to prevent another child from the experience. One of the Mother’s is arrested for the killings and Lena reluctantly agrees to look into the matter to save the woman. The investigation disturbs Lena badly and she starts dreaming of the past negative portions of her life. I highly recommend this book and series.
