A visit to the Antelope Poppy Preserve when it is in full bloom is a treat. This season could be good. Eight miles of hiking and wildflowers.  Called 661-742-1180 for information.

    These photos are glorious!!! We have some wild poppies, but not like these…so prolific!!! Thanks for posting

    • Can you imagine what the early settlers felt as they came upon the bloom? I am so happy the California save this small portion so others can see. I still remember my trip there and it has been years.

  6. We have a few poppies “popping” up in our neighborhood on the Central Coast, but I’ve never been able to make it to see the display you photographed — even though I’ve lived in California all my life.
