Today, I have selected one of my favorite series the Hetta Coffey series by Jinx Schwartz. The first book is JUST ADD WATER. It was first published on September 25, 2011 by Jinx Schwartz.

The first of the Hetta Coffey series featuring an amusing witty and funny protagonist, Hetta Coffey. She is responsible in her engineering work however her personal life is anything but a mess. Her character is complicated. Jan is a first-class sidekick. After Hetta gets them into trouble Jan is there to help. This book gives the background of the characters and Hetta’s life. I enjoyed it so much I went on and reread it and the rest of the series.

There are now 9 books in the series and all are funny. Her book sis named after her first dog, who died in this book. The last book is JUST ADD FRENCH. You might check and see if it is still free on Amazon.

California has become to dangerous for Hetta and she decides to locate just across the    U. S. border in Arizona. Jenks has return to Kuwait. Hetta accepts a job in a mine in Mexico and she will drive to Arizona every night. She rents a house on a golf course near the border. Before long all her friends arrive for various reasons. Hetta makes a trip to winery in Mexico and returning from checking on her yacht Jan and her run into trouble again. An attempt to hijack the a plane they were to fly out of the ranch is foiled. Again a Texas longhorn bull is highlighted. The scenes are funny; yet they are serious

The latest book in the Hetta Coffey series. Hetta is an engineer by trade and will take independent jobs. Hetta after a disappointing love affair brought a yacht, named the Raymond Jackson after her deceased dog. With her friend Jan they sailed into Mexican waters. In this book, her boyfriend Jenks has a surprise for her. After accommodating a consignment of materials to Southern France, they will meet in Paris. Jenks’ surprise is a boat to sail the canals of southern France. Shortly after their arrival in France, there is a terrorist attack in Paris. Jenks needed to leave for awhile. Jenks arranges for Jan and PoThang, her dog to join Hetta. Watch out, as whenever Jan and Hetta get together sparks tend to fly. This time, they decided to save an American woman from her abusive boyfriend. on their agenda is to get back at Hetta’s French boyfriend who dumped Hetta 20 years ago. Po Thang has encounters with a pair of swans and French poodle that are extremely funny. If you have not read any of this series, do yourself a favor and read it. While the books can be read as a standalone, it is better to read in order.
