The location of the story is in France and it interrupts the flow of the narrative. The French names are difficult to understand.
Anne Capestan expected to be fire from the Police and She was surprised to put to head a new squad. This squad is made up of all the misfits of the Police that CAN NOT BE FIRED. The Squad’s headquarters is in a run-down building and given old equipment with which to work. The cases all the department’s COLD CASES. Surprisingly the members mashed together. Sorting through the files they find two cases of murder. These files are selected to reopen. How various factors are woven together is intriguing as they discover police corruption. I recommend this book.
