THINK POSITIVE! HUGS!
For a while, I have been looking for a good cozy mystery set against a background of a gardener. I feel I have found it in this series. I like it enough to download the next two books. The writing flows easily and the characters are developed with a back story of The main character. The gardening and environment issues are correct. The mystery is woven into the story so it hard knows the villain. We have a small town and the protagonist is slowly developing a romance with the chief of police. We have a handicapped child and cat and dogs are being added to the characters as they are rescue animals. There is snobbery present in the area. The problem I see too many editing mistakes. Currently, there seven books In the series.
In the first book, Catherine Jewell has moved to the area and led a small nursery and works part-time as the botanist for the Elmwood Gardens. The administer of the garden will release a blue rose (much desire in botany circles) to the enthusiasts of the road world in a major festival. The administer is not like by anyone because of his negativity. At the festival, he is found dead The first murder in the town in 10 year
I’m glad you have found a new series you enjoy. I love the covers. It’s too bad about the editing.
Isn’t it nice to find a series placed in a setting you enjoy. I find cozies do offer a good variety in that regard.
Yes, it is nice. I have been looking for a gardening book since the Le Vines passed. To bad the editing is very poor in all books. When I noticed editing mistakes has to be bad English is a very poor.
That really is a pity. Especially if the story is strong.
Glad you found one that you think you might enjoy.
