The 2nd book of the Gourmet Cat mysteries is light and relaxing. Colbie Summers is getting ready for a huge push to advertise her food in an event called Take your cat to the store. A strange man appears at her door. Colbie is dismayed to recognize Sam biological father. He wants to meet his son and wants to be part of his life. An employee Mira is in trouble as her serrated is found murdered in one of her foster father’s construction sites. Colbie and best friend Lana explore the events that happen looking g to prove innocence. Colbie is annoyed that rabbit keeps returning her garden and feasting on the strawberries. TROUBLE antics add to the story. These themes are brought together for a cohesive tale. I highly recommend this book and series.
