This is one my to authors. The next book in the series will be published  KILLED ON BLUEBERRY HILL. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO READING IT.

BOOK# 2

“I was prepared to do a great deal for my business. Dying my hair raspberry red was not one of them. Now I only had to convince the photographer.

In the second book of the Berry Basket series is another satisfying read. There is good information on blackberries, wines, animal behavior, police units, and friendship. The antics of the animals lighten the mood of the story. There is a faint evidence of the paranormal.

Marlee Jacob is getting ready to handle crowds at the annual 4th of July celebration at Oriole Point, Michigan. The festivities are to honor 100 years of BlackBerry Art School existence.  A road rally is planned for the affair. Marlee and Piper need a new start area for the rally. They go to check out an area and Piper’s new puppy gets loose and digs up a skeleton. The twists and turns the story takes will keep you enthralled. Marlee is looking for answers to how Sienna dies before her cook, Theo becomes a victim.  Berry recipes are included. I highly recommend this book and series.

Disclosure: I received a free copy from Kennington Books through NetGalley for an honest review. I would like to thank them for this opportunity to read and review this book. The opinions expressed are my own.

Good first line. I will be reading the blueberry one as my first in the series.

  2. Happy Friday!😊

My first lines come from a book I will be reading shortly, Unleashed by Donna Kauffman.

Emma Lafferty’s life had gone to the dogs. Literally. And to the cats. And the parakeets, goldfish, hamsters, even the occasional potbelly pig. What it and her fledgling pet-sitting service hadn’t gone to was her bank account. Not enough, anyway.

Have a great weekend and happy reading!😊📚💖

  3. Fun first lines! I”m featuring Starting From Scratch by Kate Lloyd on my blog, so here is a line from page 11:

“A few minutes later I sat on the suitcase’s lid while Marta fastened the metal latches with gusto.”

    Happy Friday!
