Need that one for my life list. Awesome! 😊
There was a recent separation on the Jay The western jay was divide into species as was the Steller Jay. I don’t which jay my picture are.
I heard that and when we were out there last year, eBird has it listed as Western/Steller Jay on the list. They were both separate too of course, but there was a place for the “I’m not sure what I’m looking at” to put in your count. I didn’t see any so it was not a valid point for me.
Since my eyesite is poor and I can see birds very well so I haven’t been on E-bird for a long time.
Understandable. 😊
Blue jays are kind of mean.
Great close up. We have stellar Jay in northern NM mountains.
