MURDER WITH CINNAMON SCONES by Karen Rose Smith

The next book in the series is MURDER WITH OOLONG TEA – December 29

The second version of the Tea Lovers series has the merchant of Willow Creek, Pennsylvania planning a quilt event weekend. Daisy Swanson and her manager, Tessa is excited about the affair. Their cinnamon scones have become very popular and the restaurant is extremely busy. Tessa has a romantic relationship with Reese Masemer, the owner of the art gallery. The Galley will display the quilts. Recently, Reese has become evasive with Tessa and she feels he has not been grateful to her. The Art Gallery alarms go off and there are an unlawful entry and destruction. A valuable quilt is missing. Before Tessa recovers from this event Reese Masemer is found murdered near where Tessa paints. She becomes a person of interest and Daisy decided to explore Reese death in order to clear Tessa. She found that Reese had a secret that surprised and shocked her. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book and series. Recipes are included.

I haven’t read any of the books in this series.

I agree; I liked this one a lot. I focused on the mystery at the time of reading it, but in looking back I think the quilts and the tea service made a delightful backdrop to the story.
