Books Added This Week

BE KIND

I only added one book from the new releases. There were others but the e-book price was more than I want to pay.E-book prices are now running to about $11.00, very few below $7, and one wanted $18.00. It was historical mystery. I had read this author before, I am not ready to pay that cost for a book that I only have for my life.

MISSING AND ENDANGERED by J. A. Jance – Joanne Brady. I am really looking forward to reading this book. I like this series the best of her series.

I have been reading Daisy Dalrymple series, There are 23 books in the series. I read a few ARC and enjoyed the books. The e-book price is $11.99. Many libraries have them, mine has both print copies. I started with the first, DEATH AT WENTWATER COURT 1994. I am presently reading FALL OF A PHILANDER 2005. The last one, The CORPSE AT THE CRYSTAL PALACE.

Just after world War 1, the Honorable Daisy Dalrymple decided to earned her living instead of living with relatives. The war changed her life. With a friend Lucy they room together in London. Daisy is writing about the various estates of the aristocracy for a magazine. Her first building Wentwater Court. She encounters murder while there she meets Detective Chief Inspector Flectcher. The books follows them though the cases but can be read as standalones as each complete. Several of the characters are in various books. There is no sex, violence and light reading. If you like If you like Georgette Heyer books you will like them. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES.

I added Faye Kellerman’s MILK AND HONEY #3 1990 and BURNT HOUSE #16 2007. A couple of my favorites.

GOOD READING AND UNTIL THE NEXT TIME!
