The new year has started and the Indialantic hotel is holding a masquerade ball to ring the New Year. Liz Holtz is upset when she discovered her ex-boyfriend Travis and his friends have crashed the party uninvited. He wants Liz to support his book on their affair which she declined in a loud angry voice. When is a dead body is found he becomes the leading candidate for the murder? Her law enforcement friends are not allowed with the investigation because of a conflict of interest. Liz and her friends work behind the scene to clear her name. The ending is a surprise.

I highly recommend this book and series.
Recipes from the Indialantic kitchen are included.
