It covers the different aspects of animal cruelty and recuses. One comment a cat has a good scenting ability as any dog, most humans don’t realize this fact. Yes, it has humans, Ruby a budding Tarot Reader and sister to the owner of the shop. Ophelia gets curious and learns the Tarot cards.  Her paws touch which turns over another card and it connects with the reading. Luis, the owner of the pawnshop. Jojo, an attorney and best friend of Ruby. There are minor characters, the family of the Black cats’ owner and the house manager. The mystery isn’t much. The animals return to the cat’s original home to protect the house manager and are determined to know what happened to their human Mom. Don’t be mistaken by all the red herring facts as the ending will surprise you. It did me. This is the first book of the Tarot Cat series, a paranormal. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.
