The eighth book in the Zoe Chamber mystery is a gone one as Annette Dashofy has another clever story. There 3 different themes running through and all brought skillfully brought together as one tale.
Zoe is at the fairground to show her horse and is reunited with her 4H pales. Zoe is concerned rather a 4 after is being abused by his Mother and is determined that he is reunited with his biological father. Pete finds a dead woman along the river and is busy trying to determine the cause of death. He also learns a traveler who over years someone plot in the death of a male. Both Zoe and Pete are concerned about what will happen if they marry. Pete has a ring and wonders if Zoe will finally say yes to the question.
