My husband and I went to the Oklahoma City Zoo yesterday. Our first visit and our first zoo visit since we returned from Mexico. There was a pretty good zoo in Morelia, Michoacan, the capital city of the state we lived in. The OK city zoo is good. It was nice weather so it was pretty crowded. It is large enough that we didn’t see it all in one day. A big area is being carved out for an African animal exhibit and the birds were all tucked away because of fears of the avian influenza. Also no grizzlies or brown bears in sight. We did see some amazing reptiles and amphibians. The Galapagos tortoises were huge! They have a very nice area highlighting the animals and zones in OK.
