Assisted Living March 31

Think Positive!

Looking at Bruce Meyers penstemon garden

Good morning this is a sunny morning with a temperature of 35F. It is now 41F looking for a high of 55F. This is a shower for us. Andera was here on time to do it. She sorted out the laundry and did some chores that needed to be done.

Bruce Meyers was an early hybridizer with Penstems. He developed the Mexicans hybrid and many are now named hybrids. It was a thrill for my California friend to meet him see his garden.

On my trip to Fred Meyers’store Bob received 3 long sleeve shirts and a jacket. For myself, I got a pair of black pants. My one here did not come back from the laundry. Also, another pair of white pants as I have lost too much weight as the ones I had no longer fixed me.

Today has been busy. Amy, Quacker, Minster paid a visit and we had a nice chat. later my nurse stopped by and got a few minor things done.

Lunch

We had a Beef dish with butter noodles, there was a tomato salad and the dessert was an upper-sided down pineapple cake.

Books

I finished MUMS AND MAYHEM by Amanda Flowers. I checked out Overdrive and put 2 holds. I plan to start DEATH AT HIGH TIDE by Hannah Dennison today.

Dinner

It is now 7:00pm with a temperature of 52F. We had hamburgers with a salad of marinated onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, and baked beans. I ate my plate, there were also butter noodles.

I have spent part of reading DEATH AT HIGH TIDE by Hannah Dennison. The descriptions are extremely well done. I am just connecting with the characters. I finished the book.

Goodnight and pleasant dreams.

You were busy today, Betty. Your hamburger dinner sounds delicious–especially with a marinated salad and baked beans. I love your spring pictures.
