#DELIVERING THE TRUTH By Edith Maxwell

PEACE Think Positive!

The first book in the Quaker Midwife mysteries is set in the town of Amesbury, Michigan in 1888. There is a lot of good information about the Friends aka the Quaker’s religion. Each story is complete and they can be read as a standalone

Running through the books is the story of Rose and Dr. David Dodge who desires to marry and all the hurdles they must endear.

The town of Amesbury is noted for the carriages that are built there. The factories are set afire causing great hardship among the residents. The owner’s son is stabbed to death with Rose’s knitting needle. Midwife Rose Carroll is from a middle-class Quaker family and Dr. David Dodge is from a wealthy Newburyport family. David is not a Quaker but goes to the Unitarian church. Rose is the midwife of an unmarried girl who gives birth to a boy. The unmarried girl refused to give the name of the father.  Will Rose be able to clear her name from a murder charge? I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND SERIES.
