It is a fun visit with Jillian and her cats. Tom and Jillian are planning a wedding. Finn is living with them during summer vacation. The latter has adopted a tortoise cat, named Magpie. She is an escape artist and Ed finds her exploring in a sofa he picked up. This starts a new adventure as Jillian and Kara watch a body exhumed. Tom becomes Police Chief Jillian begins to wonder if Tom will make the wedding as the investigation is going nowhere. The ending is a surprise. This is a must read series.
