This is a long-running paranormal mystery, although it first book to read in the series. I had some problems with understanding the characters and plan on reading the earlier books. Ella Mae LeFaye has lost her magic ability but her pie shop is still selling out. Beatrice Burbank hires EllaMae as the pastry chef for Camellia Club’s annual retreat in August. Later Ella Mae finds Beatrice drowned in Lake Havenwood. The death is ruled an accident. Ella Mae doesn’t agree and investigate the death. Ella Mae finds an old enemy as a member of Camellia Club and works to stopped her before she destroys Havenwood. I highly recommend this book.

Disclosure: I received a free copy from Berkley Publishing Group through NetGalley for an honest review. I would like to thank them for this opportunity to read and review the book. The opinions are my own.
