The fifth book in the series, I have not read the earlier books. I found an easy and relaxing read. The characters are well developed and the scenery easy to understand. Jenna Hart, Cook Nock owner, is concerned that her Father’s neighbor, Salvia is found dead and the body burnt. Salvia had been encroaching on her neighbor’s property and causing a disturbance in the area. Her Father who had run-ins with Salvia and has no alibi. There are a couple of subplots that add interest It is up that neatly woven into the story. Jenna needs to find answers before her Father heads to jail. While I was able to follow this story. I feel this series needs to be read in order.

Disclosure: I received a free copy from Berkley Publishing Group through NetGalley for an honest review. I would like to thank them for this opportunity to read and review the book. The opinions expressed are my own.
