The second book of the Catherine Jewel mystery continues find Catherine renovating Lewellyn Gardens. Emily is a recuse and Catherine only sees her shadow. Charles McKee, her secretary is in charge  of the estate. Emily wants to add a large bed of daylilies to the garden.There are environmental  problems as the someone is pushing to build the highway through a wetland. Matters are further stress out by a young retarded boy, Eric who has a love affair with the construction machinery. A couple of bodies are found near the construction area. Eric becomes main suspect. Catherine feels he not guilty and decides to clear his name. Catherine romance with the police chief continues. An action packed ending will have you looking for the next book. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book and series.
