I seldom feel well enough to go to the store. Monday my caregiver took me to Fredmeyers on Fairview store located  on Fairview avenue and Locust Grove. We walked throughout the store picking up items needed. Our stop at the deli counter was great the clerk was extremely helpful even though I had trouble making up my mind. When we checked out the lines were long. I sat down in my walker. I was completely exhausted. One of the clerk’s passed by and motioned to my caregiver, Emily to take me to a closed register, where a nice young gal quickly checked us out. As we were leaving the store, the clerk who handles the flower section greeted us so I stopped to let her know I enjoyed her selection of flowers. She was so kind that she handed Emily a small arrangement of flowers for myself. The picture is above. This completed my day and I left tired but feeling good and smiling. Thanks for caring.

I know you were tired at the end of the day, but I’m so happy you felt well enough to go shopping and had a good caregiver to help you. God bless the employees who went the extra mile to notice you, help out, and make your day special. We don’t have a Fred Myers, but they do deserve a shout out for having a climate where employees feel comfortable stepping out of the routine to show kindness.

Good you could get out & have pleasant experience. Here in Emmett the smoke is so bad I can barely see the foothills, a mile & a half away.

  6. Those are lovely flowers and I’m so happy you had such a good experience. A little kindness goes far.
