#A SANDAL IN SCARLET by Vicky Delany

In the fourth book of the Sherlock Holmes Bookshop Mysteries Gemma and Jayne are hosting a fundraiser and auction at the tea shop. It was interrupted by the murder of the director of the fundraiser, Kathy Lamb. Follow shop owner Maureen managed to pick a fight with Kathy at the beginning of the event and so is a person of interest. Much against her will Gemma agrees to do some looking into the death. As Gemma is asking questions about Kathy’s background Gemma uncovers a possible murder seven years ago. Yes, Moriarty has a role in the story. Will Gemma be successful in keeping Maureen out of prison? The ending is a surprise and I like it.  I am looking forward to spending more time at the bookshop.

I highly recommend this book and series.
