Lets grab a drink and set out on the patio and chat a while and watch the birds as they arrive to feed on the feeders. There are hummingbirds, collar doves, morning doves,red-winged blackbirds, house sparrows, house finches and American Goldfinches. Kathy and I have been shopping for clothes at Fred Myers, J. C. Penny’s and Kohls. I have pants, blouses and new sleep ware. Bob got new shirts to wear. I brought new towels, bedding and light blanket for my bed. The stimulus money cause a problem and we needed spend it or loose our caregiver. We got new electronics and flashlights for each room. Yesterday I added an up-to-date bathroom scales.

The second heat days are gone until another heats ups later in the month. The month of August went bye fast and Labor day is here. When school will start either class rooms or online is all the news. I limit myself to no more of the news for twice a day. It so depressing. NOW to other goings in my life I am still readinga mystery book each day.

My shopping spree included some e-books I have been wanting to read. I just finished Laurien Berenson’s novella HOWLOWEEN MURDER. Melanie is tasked with clearing Harriet, HA secretary name of poisoning her neighbor with poison with her Halloween baking. The secondary theme story is delightful and it left a feeling of good. Recipe included. I highly recommend this book and series.

I have started started DRIZZLED TO DEATH by Jessie Crockett, the first book in the Sugar Grove series. It starts off with a bang with Deni Greene (MC) sees a Mountain Lion and her yard and no one believes. It is later learned some man release a number exotic animals he was transporting as a payback to his partner for relationships of his wife. There are some funny scenes when the animals are seen by the township. I find it wordy but its so far not stopping me from enjoying the book. There are two more in the series.

DIGGING UP REMAINS by Julia Henry – the third book of the Garden Squad series. We are again Goosebush Massachusetts and preparing for a 400 year celebration. A internet reporter in town threatening to release negative stories of 5 longtime residents. He is found dead during a K10 run. After his death his teasers are still appearing town. There is more about the remains found PRUNING THE DEAD. I highly recommends this book and series.

The heat has got to some plants. I don’t like the condition of the Angel-wing begonia. I hopes it makes it. Now with cooler weather. I hope to some more blooms.

Bye for now
