#BELINDA BLAKE AND SNAKE IN THE GRASS by Heather Day GILBERT

PEACE

For some time now, I have been seeing a generation gap in the books I have been reading. This book started off with me not understanding about the site. The first book in a new series and a new author for me. I am looking forward to the next book about wolves.

Belinda is a young girl who has Exotic Pet Sitting business in Manhattan and looking around she feels that Greenwich Village might offer more exotic pets to build her business. Belinda rents the carriage house of a gated mansion. She is pet sitting for bull boa snake. She takes everywhere she goes. She will give it a bath and feed frozen rats to it. She is exploring her new home when she finds a body in her flower beds. She becomes involved with the owner’s son, Stone V. The police don’t feel she is involved but helping StoneV find an answer why his good friend is dead Belinda becomes involved. Belinda needs to find an answer before she joins the victims in the flower bed.The ending is unusual. I highly recommend this book. Disclosure: Thanks to Lyrical Underground for a copy through NetGalley. The opinions expressed are my own.
