BURNING RIDGE by Margaret Mizushima

HANGING FALLS – The 6th book in the series; Mattie’s background is investigated.

There are several K-9 series and it is my opinion this one is the best I have red. There are some series that have K-9 picture on the cover. The stories are not k-9 stories as the dog is mention at the beginning and not refer to in one or two mention. While the stories have been extremely good. I often do not go back to the author’s books.

I started it and finished it in one setting. It is the fourth installment of the Timber Creek K-9 series. Robo is brilliant. He has never track a person without a scent article and is able to do it. He finds the charred body in a fire pit. Maggie Cobb and Cole Walker’s affair continues. We learned more about Maggie’s childhood. This book is full of surprises and suspense. You will more of a K-9 dog works in this book. Cole is taking his children to see the mountain sheep in the high country of Colorado. His dog, Brunco brings back a charred boot with the remains of a foot in it. Maggie and Robo searched the area looking for the rest of the body. The tale takes a couple of turns that will keep you awake until you finished. The ending left me wanting to read more. If you want to learn how K-9 works this is a good book to read. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK and series.

Disclosure: Many thanks to Crooked Lane Books for a review copy. The opinions expressed are my own.
