I am reading some old favorites and it is a good to met my longtime friends, again. I remember reading this book but didn’t retain much of it. One that Wolf acts out of his precede character. Archie and Wolf had a small tariff disagreement and Archie brings young boy who has $4.08, neighborhood boy wants to work with Wolf to make some money as the driver told him call a cop. The next day same car ran over the boy and didn’t stop. The homicide force decided to arrest Wolf and drags him downtown which angers Wolf. With no client in sight Wolf’s intend find out who kill the boy. The twists and turns are vintage Rex Stout. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND SERIES.
