#PERISH FROM THE EARTH By Jonathan F. Putman

PEACE BE KIND

This is the second book in the Lincoln and Speed series. It set upon the Mississippi River. It covers the slave, gambling and family problems. Lincoln is riding with  the circuit court which stopped at Alton, a town on the river. Speed joins the his Father’s riverboat, the War Eagle to investigate why it’s revenue is down. A murder occurred on the boat and Speed convinces Lincoln to represent the accused. (This an important case in the 18th century) Lincoln must prove the accused is innocent without revealing what happen in order to protect the others on board the War Eagle. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND SERIES.
