Mission Impawsible by Krista Davis

In this visit to Wagtail village, a town dedicated to animals. Dogs and cats are allowed to run free, no automobiles are allowed. Pet stores are everywhere and restaurants prepare special meals for cat and dogs. They are allowed in motels and hotels. This series features Trixie, a Jack Russel and Twinkletoes, calico cat. Trixie is cadaver dog and is always finding bodies. Twinkletoes is the ins ambassador. Their human companions are Holly Miller and her Grandmother, Oma, owners of the Sugar Maple Inn.
The town has a festival that allows your furry friend to introduce you to your sole mate. Holly meets John and his golden retriever, Cooper. Walk with John and Cooper, Trixie locates another dead body. The tale has greed, jealousy, maternal inference, and betrayal.
We meet Huey, a white German shepherd mix and his friend Duchess, mix breed both available for adoption.
I highly recommend this book for a light and relaxing read. Recipes are included for both our furry friends and their humans.

I love the cover picture and the title play on words. This is definitely an animal lovers’ book with a town built around the needs of animals. An interesting premise for a series.
