Assisted Living April 6

Think Positive!

Monthly Birthdays – July
Cake

Good Afternoon, the morning has passed by fast, it is sunny and 49F with an expected high of 56F. Thanks for the message on my site, it is much appreciated.

Pain is with me most of the time. One medicine has been increased and it is helping with the pain. I managed to dress, straightening my room. April bought my morning medicines and put the laundry away. I spent a lot of time checking out the different events. Baseball starts Thursday but the game has been to Friday. I have been a fan of baseball since I was a child listening to the Boise Braves, a double AA team. It lasted only 3 years. My Father took Georgia and me to a few games and we walked down to the park for other games. The Seattle Mariners since they started playing in the Kingdom.

Lunch

My plate had cabbage salad, a stir-fry of pork and rice, dessert was the cake which is a no-no for me. Before heading back to my room, the aide took me around the garden, while the rose leaves and bulbs had grown, only one bush was blooming. It has a white flower which I didn’t know its name.

Books

Reading now CARDS ON THE TABLE by Agatha Christie, Hercule Poirot # 13. Poirot was told by a friend he knew people who had before. I haven’t read this before. I borrow DUMB WITNESS # 16. There are a number of hers that I have not read.

I have just learned that Mary Diemhan, author of one of my favorite Alpine series. The link below is to the article

Bob came by this today. He took some applesauce and some ice cream that had melted but refrozen. I found a bottle of water that was frozen in the refrigerator part.

Dinner

I went down for the meal. I had a small bowl of broth. On the plate of mixed veggies and mashed potatoes, there was a lovely piece of chicken fried cod. I didn’t eat it as it had wheat on the fish. The dessert was a cookie. A pair of mallards flew over the garden.

Goodnight and wonderful dreams.

It’s nice you got to walk in the garden Betty. I’m sorry to hear you are dealing with pain. Take care.

It’s so good to get outside, even if it is still nippy. Yay for pain medicine that lets you feel better so you can do some things in your room. Too bad about the fried fish. Could you take the coating off?
