Assisted Living April 29

Think Positive!

Good morning it is a clear, lovely blue sky, 44F with a high of 58F expected. This morning started alright with a plate of cheese omelet, and hash browns. I decided to get dressed and before I finished dressing, Amy arrived with our grocery order. Dr. Pepper was still cold, oranges, raisins/cranberries, potato chips, Chocolate chip cookies for Bob, and signs for both our doors.

Door Signs

Robert is a starfish and says Welcome. Mine is a long rectangle with Welcome and a white flower in the middle.

Garden

Good afternoon the skies are dotted with various shaped white clouds. Not much is happening in the garden. More iris are opening up. The tulips are still making a lovely glimpse of red in the garden. The tree has been dropping its yellow beans but there is still more to fall off the tree. Returning to my room. I watch a squirrel out on the lawn for a few minutes

Books

I was very tired last night and I didn’t finish TIL DEATH, still have about 1/4 to read.

Lunch

I have been taking my crochet down to the dining room. I had help today as I had a knot in the thread. It took 3 of us to get the yarn free. I am only doing the chain stitch. I need to keep my hands busy so I won’t scratch my arms.

My plate had more baby red potatoes and a nice piece of flounder. I like very few kinds of fish and did taste it but I still didn’t like it. The dessert was apple crisp which was very good.

Dinner

Not much change in the garden, a few more iris blooming. I had Rice, ground beef, and roasted vegetables. The sky is partly cloudy, 57F.

Now is the time goodnight to say to all.

I was excited to see the yellow flowering bush/small tree. We had one in bloom when we moved into our house in last summer. Then it bloomed again as winter approached and all the other plants were pulling back. Now plants and trees are in full leaf and it looks as dead as a door nail. I am so sad. Any ideas?
